Leadership and personal finance are the focus of TROY’s two free online classes this summer
Whether you’re interested in building valuable leadership skills to propel your career or are interested in learning principles to protect and grow your wealth, Troy University is ready to help those who want to make a commitment to their future by offering two free courses this summer.
We believe that universities are responsible for building the leaders of tomorrow and that is a commitment we do not take lightly. Our mission is to develop leaders who are well equipped to meet the challenges of today’s world. These two free courses are an excellent introduction to all we offer at Troy University while giving participants the chance to learn valuable life skills.

Self-Advocacy, independence key lessons of Governor’s Youth Leadership Forum
After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Alabama Governor’s Youth Leadership Forum returned to Troy University last week with delegates learning to advocate for themselves, plan for their futures and meet new friends.
TROY team competes at Intercollegiate Collegiate Programming Contest’s North America Championship
A group of Troy University computer science students put their problem-solving skills on display when they competed at the Intercollegiate Collegiate Programming Contest’s North America Championship (NAC) at the University of Central Florida from May 26-31.
TROY signs concurrent enrollment agreements with Southern Union, Chattahoochee Valley
Troy University has signed agreements with two Alabama community colleges that would allow for students to get a head start toward earning a bachelor’s degree while still pursuing their associate’s degree.
The concurrent enrollment agreements were signed with Southern Union State Community College (SUSCC) and Chattahoochee Valley Community College (CVCC) on Thursday and will provide a seamless pathway for community college students who wish to pursue their bachelor’s degree at TROY. SUSCC and CVCC students will receive a discounted rate for TROY courses taken under the agreement.

In observance of Juneteenth, food historian Carolyn Quick Tillery traces the story from the 1863 Emancipation Proclamation forward through the Juneteenth writings of "Invisible Man" author Ralph Ellison. She discusses with In Focus host Carolyn Hutcheson the meaning of red foods in historic African American recipes, and she shares the recipe for Strawberry Champagne Punch.
