Deizah Holland, Braxton Daniels crowned Troy University Homecoming Queen, King
Deizah Holland of Troy, Alabama, and Braxton Daniels of Greenville, Alabama, have been named Troy University’s 2021 Homecoming Queen and King.
I honestly didn’t see this coming, I’m lost for words. I didn’t plan on running for Homecoming Queen, but God has different plans for us. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to represent my city and the best University in the world. Just thank you to Delta Sigma Theta and the student body. -Deizah Holland
TROY presents Sounds of the Season ‘Traditions Old and New’ performance
Troy University’s College of Communication and Fine Arts presents its annual Sounds of the Season holiday celebration on Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. in Claudia Crosby Theater. The annual lighting of the Christmas tree and a welcome reception will kick off the evening at 6 p.m. in front of Smith Hall.
Holiday Showcase planned by students at the IDEA Bank
To bring in the holiday season, the IDEA Bank will host a student-led holiday showcase to show off student entrepreneurs and their businesses.
The showcase on Wednesday, Dec. 1, was an idea brought forward by sophomores Hannah Dinkel and Arthur Penn.
Johnson Center hosts former BB&T, Cato Institute executive for ‘Success Stories’
The Manuel H. Johnson Center for Political Economy welcomed Mr. John Allison to campus on Nov. 3. Allison is the former Chairman and CEO of BB&T Corporation and the former President and CEO of the Cato Institute, a think tank in Washington, D.C. He is known as one of the most principled and innovative CEOs in recent decades.

Frank Marquette, a Professor of Practice in Troy's 3D Printing for Art and Industry Minor, talks about the program and increasing importance of 3D printing. With all the uses of 3D printing across the world, Marquette tries to teach his students how to constructively disrupt industries.
