Dr. Sharon Weaver receives Troy University’s Ingalls Award
Dr. Sharon M. Weaver, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Rehabilitation and Disability Studies in the Department of Counseling, Rehabilitation and Interpreter Training, is the recipient of Troy University’s 2022 Ingalls Award for Excellence in Classroom Teaching.
Van Buskirk receives Dr. Robert Kruckeberg Faculty Excellence Award at Troy University
David Van Buskirk, Lecturer in the Sorrell College of Business at Troy University, has been awarded the Dr. Robert Kruckeberg Faculty Excellence Award, presented by the University’s Faculty Senate.
The award honors the memory of Dr. Robert Kruckeberg, an Associate Professor of History who passed away in December 2020 at the age of 43 after a courageous battle with cancer. He had been a member of the TROY faculty since 2012.
Troy University names Thrasher as Dean of College of Communication and Fine Arts
Dr. Michael Thrasher has been named Dean of the College of Communication and Fine Arts at Troy University effective July 1.
Thrasher comes to TROY from Florida State University where he served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs & Director of Graduate Studies and Interim Dean of the College of Music. His past experience includes administrative and faculty positions at the University of Texas at Tyler, North Dakota State University, North Central Texas College, and in public school music education.
