Troy University to offer night Associate in Nursing degree classes at Montgomery Campus
Troy University is expanding its Associate’s in Nursing degree program on its Montgomery Campus to include nighttime classes in an effort to more effectively meet the demand for nurses in the River Region and provide greater opportunities for students.
The first nighttime ASN classes will be offered this fall with a second cohort beginning in spring 2023.
“Eyes, Mind and Music: An Artistic Celebration of Women” events planned for March 8, 10
Faculty, staff and students from multiple departments across Troy University have collaborated to host “An Evening of Music, Poetry and Arts” on March 8 as well as a Steinway concert series titled “Women in Music” on March 10. Both events are free and open to the public.
Dothan Campus-based Rotaract Club gets involved in the community; student members benefit from mentors
For a group of Dothan Campus business students, the Rotary Club is helping them build relationships and gain experience that will help them later in life.
The Rotaract Club, sponsored by the Dothan Tuesday Rotary Club, is participating in various community support projects.
Humanity on display at TROY-Tutwiler Garden Program Art Reception
Works of art emphasizing humanity and growth painted by inmates of the Julia Tutwiler Prison for Women were featured during the TROY-Tutwiler Garden Program Art Reception held at the International Arts Center on Jan. 27.
The TROY-Tutwiler Garden Program was created in 2019 after Dr. Sharon Everhardt, associate professor and Chair of the anthropology, sociology and criminology department, and Dr. Stephen Carmody, anthropology and archaeology associate professor, researched food allocation and prisons. The course spans over 15 weeks and teaches inmates about the fundamentals of gardening, horticulture and nutrition while giving them hands-on experience with growing a garden.

The 22nd day of the 2nd month in 2022 was Short the Squirrel’s second birthday celebration.
The literature-loving squirrel had a two-in-one celebratory event due to also graduating from Troy University’s IDEA Bank in downtown Troy.

The Talk of TROY - "A Retrospective with Former Student Producers"
Since 2013, this program has been produced by student interns like Host Marissa Lacey. And now, for TROY Public Radio’s 45th anniversary, we’re visiting some of the first student producers to find out how The Talk of TROY became what it is today.
There was a radio station on campus when I was in school there. I graduated in 1971. It may not have been a "Public Radio" station. I don't remember about that. Its call letters were WTBF.
