TROY professor, students make discoveries at Italian excavation sites
After partnering with Italy’s University of Pisa to participate in archaeological digs, TROY anthropology/archaeology professor Dr. Stephen Carmody and his students have helped make several key discoveries in Italian history.
The partnership came about in 2019 after TROY First Lady Janice Hawkins visited Pietrasanta, a town on the coast of northern Tuscany in Italy where TROY students frequently study abroad.
Remnant Trust exhibit opens at Troy University’s Dothan Campus Library
An exhibit featuring rare books, manuscripts and artifacts is on display at Troy University’s Dothan Campus library, located in R. Terry Everett Hall, now through spring.
The exhibit is part of the collection of The Remnant Trust, a public educational foundation that shares an actively growing collection of manuscripts, first editions and early works dealing with topics of individual liberty and human dignity with some pieces dating as early as 2500 B.C.
